Pair of Wedgwood Moonstone Vases, 1960-1970

1960-1970
earthenware
17.5 x 13.2 x 13.2 cm
$600 for the pair

The venerable 18th century firm of Wedgwood always continues to adapt to modern tastes and these urns were designed in the 1930s by works manager Norman Wilson, who was a master potter and inventor. Each vase features the Moonstone white glaze which is a satin or eggshell finish that subtly highlights the pared back neo-classical simplicity of the forms. Perfect for one of Constance Spry’s elegant arrangements.
