Christofle is the main French heritage silversmith house still in operation today, having risen to prominence in the mid 19th century as a pioneer of electroplating. This set of 6 of coasters, whilst designed to keep a wine bottle from marking the tablecloth have a myriad of uses, from serving olives or nuts, to being fancy soap dishes. They are in the classic French silver shape with a moulded and waved edge and are stamped CHRISTOFLE to the underside. Object has secured a set of six of these if you want to impress.
