Probably by the firm of Dudson who were early imitators of Wedgwood, and prior to 1860 because unmarked, this generous jug has a frieze of classical maidens and cupids. Probably used originally for milk and fitted with a pewter cover (now missing) it’s perfect for a collection of vintage wooden spoons, freshly picked flowers from the garden or the custard for this year’s Christmas pudding!
