A Pair of Bisque Porcelain Roundels, 20th Century

20th century
14 cm diameter

Own the essence of neo-classicism in these two bisque porcelain plaques by BERTEL THORVALDSEN (Denmark, 1770-1844) made by the Royal Copenhagen works in the 1960s. They are cast with allegorical figures emblematic of the two of the Four Seasons, entitled “Childhood – Spring” and “Youth – Summer”, and have the Royal Copenhagen mark to the reverse. Hang them with a pretty ribbon and bow for New York chic.
