Ronan Curates, Neo Classicism

Ronan Sulich has been fascinated by objects his entire life. As a University of Sydney undergraduate it was not unusual for him to turn up at a tutorial with a large marble bust of Mozart, or a Chinese blue and white jardiniere found in one of the many second hand shops of Newtown or Glebe, … unsurprisingly he did an arts degree with a major in Fine Art and Archaeology and then a diploma of Museum Studies. In 1995 after six years at an auction house in London, Christie’s offered him the role as decorative arts specialist in Sydney and he got to catalogue all the milestone auctions of the time. Nowadays Ronan freelances for a local auction house, advises clients and the Powerhouse Museum and spends a lot of time hunting Objects for this website…

Ronan Curates is a selection of objects freshly sourced by the specialist this month.
